Trust in pastors is probably close to an all-time low. Gone are the days of blind trust in the words of the one who carries a ministry title.
I fear that abuses of confidentiality, instances that are clearly negative and wrong, may lead us to overlook its proper use.
We chastise the world for looking at everything through the lens of suspicion, and then we turn around and do the same in our churches and call it faithfulness.
A call to discernment in a time when it’s never been easier to feed on foolishness.
