Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Seven months later, the ongoing conflict has forced the migration of some 12 million Ukrainians, according to the United Nations.
Stories like Pastor Sergey Nakul’s allow us to see the pain of war and its effects on the lives of millions. Grief over loss, fear of attack, and uncertainty about the future have become the daily reality for many who today need to hear of the hope and restoration that the gospel of Christ brings.
In response, The Gospel Coalition began to develop gospel-centered resources in Ukrainian and Russian, the two languages most used by those living in Ukraine. Although the physical need is evident, the spiritual need is also urgent.
Over the last few months, we’ve worked with a team of Ukrainian and Russian translators to publish two new websites: TGC Ukraine and TGC Russia. So far, we’ve published around 65 articles that address basic questions of the Christian faith and other relevant issues.
Our prayer is that the Lord would use these resources to strengthen the faith of our brothers and sisters in those regions and those displaced by war.
Through your generosity, we’ll be able to translate more gospel-centered content and create new resources specifically for the church in Ukraine and Russia. We invite you to support this ongoing work by making a monthly or one-time gift today.
